Privacy Policy

xarvio FIELD MANAGER ("Service") is provided by BASF Canada Inc. (collectively referred to herein as "BASF", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and retain (collectively referred to as "process", "processed" or "processing") your personal information in any format in connection with your use of the Service.

By using the Service, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information We Process And How We Use It

In the course of your use of the Service, we will process your personal information as follows:

Accessing our Website / App

When you access the Service, your browser/end device transmits certain data to our web server for technical reasons in order to provide you with the information you have accessed. To enable you to use the Service, the following information is processed:

In order to protect the legitimate interests regarding our IT security, we will store this information for 3 months in order to initiative a derivation of personal information in the event of unauthorized access or attempted access to local servers. In addition, we store this information for troubleshooting purposes to ensure the stability and availability of our Service.

Registration and Login

In order to use our Service, you must first register with a user account. In doing so, you can define your own personal login data for later registration. To enable you to register and login, the following information is processed:

This information will automatically be deleted if you deactivate your user account.

Use of the Functions

In order to provide the functions of our Service, certain information pertaining to your agricultural field(s) must be processed, including GPS data on the position of your agricultural area, as well as agronomic data (e.g. data on the individual planting (crops) of your agricultural area, and harvest data).

In addition, should you contact us by phone or e-mail for any inquiries about the Service and its features or a technical issue, your contact information will be processed to handle your request.

Further Development of Services

In order to further develop and improve the Service, we process GPS data on the position of your agricultural area. In doing so, we use a scale of 10km x 10km to exclude the reference to a specific field as far as possible. The processing is necessary in order to be able to take into account the geographical location of your agricultural area and associated special features in the further development.

Error Analysis and Correction

If there are any malfunctions or crashes during your use of the Service, an error report is generated, which we analyze to identify the source of the error and try to eliminate it. This is necessary to provide you with our Service as error-free as possible and in the quality you expect. If you do not want to share such error reports with us, you can deactivate this function via the settings. However, this will result in us not being able to detect and correct any malfunctions and thus the quality of the Service may suffer.

Newsletter

If you have consented to receiving electronic messages from us, we process your e-mail address to send you our newsletter with information about our services and products, as well as other commercial-related messages. You can unsubscribe from receiving electronic communications any time by following the directions that are outlined in the e-mails you receive.
