xarvio FIELD MANAGER ("Service") is provided by BASF Canada Inc. (collectively referred to herein as "BASF", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and retain (collectively referred to as "process", "processed" or "processing") your personal information in any format in connection with your use of the Service.
By using the Service, you are agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Personal Information We Process And How We Use It
In the course of your use of the Service, we will process your personal information as follows:
Accessing our Website / App
When you access the Service, your browser/end device transmits certain data to our web server for technical reasons in order to provide you with the information you have accessed. To enable you to use the Service, the following information is processed:

IP address of your terminal device;

Information about your browser;

Your computer's operating system and screen resolution;

Date and time of your call;

Status information (e.g. error messages); and

Your mobile device's operating system.
In order to protect the legitimate interests regarding our IT security, we will store this information for 3 months in order to initiative a derivation of personal information in the event of unauthorized access or attempted access to local servers. In addition, we store this information for troubleshooting purposes to ensure the stability and availability of our Service.
Registration and Login
In order to use our Service, you must first register with a user account. In doing so, you can define your own personal login data for later registration. To enable you to register and login, the following information is processed:

Contact information (including e-mail address and telephone number for inquiries);

The payment method you have chosen;

Log file about your logins, including timestamp.
This information will automatically be deleted if you deactivate your user account.
Use of the Functions
In order to provide the functions of our Service, certain information pertaining to your agricultural field(s) must be processed, including GPS data on the position of your agricultural area, as well as agronomic data (e.g. data on the individual planting (crops) of your agricultural area, and harvest data).
In addition, should you contact us by phone or e-mail for any inquiries about the Service and its features or a technical issue, your contact information will be processed to handle your request.
Further Development of Services
In order to further develop and improve the Service, we process GPS data on the position of your agricultural area. In doing so, we use a scale of 10km x 10km to exclude the reference to a specific field as far as possible. The processing is necessary in order to be able to take into account the geographical location of your agricultural area and associated special features in the further development.
Error Analysis and Correction
If there are any malfunctions or crashes during your use of the Service, an error report is generated, which we analyze to identify the source of the error and try to eliminate it. This is necessary to provide you with our Service as error-free as possible and in the quality you expect. If you do not want to share such error reports with us, you can deactivate this function via the settings. However, this will result in us not being able to detect and correct any malfunctions and thus the quality of the Service may suffer.
Newsletter
If you have consented to receiving electronic messages from us, we process your e-mail address to send you our newsletter with information about our services and products, as well as other commercial-related messages. You can unsubscribe from receiving electronic communications any time by following the directions that are outlined in the e-mails you receive.
Business Activities of BASF Canada and Group Companies
We will use your personal information for the following purposes regarding general business activities of our company and our affiliates/related companies that have BASF SE as their parent company ("BASF Group Companies"):

Where Personal Information Will Be Stored
As a global company, we use the resources of our affiliates and third-party service providers to process and store personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. This may involve your personal information being stored or processed within Canada (but outside the province/territory in which you reside) or any other country where the service providers, BASF or BASF affiliates maintain facilities. In the event we transfer your personal information to another province/territory within Canada or outside Canada:

Confidentiality and the security of information are key considerations for BASF in any outsourcing arrangement to third parties, both inside and outside Canada. We take the security and privacy of your personal information very seriously. Accordingly, we implement reasonable physical, organizational, and technological security measures designed to protect the confidentiality of your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, copying, use, and modification, taking into account the risks involved in processing and the nature of such personal information. We will provide access to your personal information upon your written request to our Privacy Officer using the contact information below, to the extent required by law. We will attempt to respond to your written request within thirty (30) days. We will advise you in writing if we cannot meet your requests within this time limit. You may challenge the accuracy and completeness of your Personal Information and have it amended as appropriate.
