FIELD MANAGER (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) is provided by BASF Digital Farming GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “us” or “we”). You can find more information on the provider of this website in our legal notice.

A. Handling of personal data

In the following, we would like to inform you about how we handle personal data when you use this Service. Unless otherwise stated in the following sections, the legal basis for handling your personal data results from the necessity of data handling in order to provide the Service and the functionalities requested by you and for invoicing purposes. We also process data from the Service for other business purposes of the BASF Group, such as for the further development, production, and/or marketing of our products and services (including statistical purposes and for the continual improvement of our offers; in these cases, processing is carried out exclusively on an anonymous basis so that personal data cannot be traced back to you).

If you use our Service, your browser transfers certain data to our webserver for technical purposes in order to provide you with the information you have called up. c) How you can prevent the use of cookies

You can, of course, use our website without any cookies. You can configure or completely deactivate the use of cookies in your browser’s settings at any time. 3. Website analysis

We use Google Analytics on the website of our Service. This is a web analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (hereinafter referred to as “Google”).

Google analyses your use of this website on our behalf. In this regard, we use cookies, among others, that are described in detail in the cookie table above. The information about your use of this website collected by Google (e.g. referring URL, pages you visit on our website, the web browser you used, your language setting, the operating system you used or your screen resolution) is transferred to a Google server in the US, saved there, analysed and we are provided with the result in anonymous form. Your user data are not connected to your full IP address. We have activated the IP anonymisation function offered by Google on this website so that the last octet (type Ipv4) or the last 80 bits (type Ipv6) of your IP address are deleted. Google is also certified in the EU-US Privacy Shield, meaning that an adequate level of data protection is established for data at Google in the US.

We shall only analyse your use of our Service if you provide your consent when you first access the Service or if you activate the above button for turning App Analytics on/off. You can revoke your consent at any time via this button.

4. Online behavioural advertising

Our Service’s mobile app uses “Adjust”, a so-called targeted advertising service from adjust GmbH, Saarbrücker Straße 36, 10405 Berlin, Germany (hereinafter referred to as “Adjust”).

If you download our mobile app through certain marketing campaigns (e.g. you download the app after having entered the app store by clicking on a certain advertising banner), Adjust analyses your use of the app (e.g. which parts of the Service you have used the most). For this purpose, in addition to usage data, the following data may be processed: IP address, MAC address, mobile identifiers depending on your mobile device such as iOS IDFA and IDFV, Android ID or Google Advertising ID (as long as Google Play services was activated on your mobile device), Windows IDS. The data are transferred to an Adjust server, on which they are stored and analysed. The corresponding results are sent back to us in anonymous form. Our partner Adjust and we use the information to adjust our advertising campaigns to you and your interests, to assess the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns and to better understand usage behaviour of users after you have viewed a certain advertisement and subsequently downloaded our mobile app.

By accepting our Data Privacy Policy Terms and Conditions, you hereby agree to data processing as described above as part of online behavioural advertising.

You have the option to revoke your consent to such an analysis of your usage behaviour at any time by either uninstalling the mobile app from your mobile device or visiting the website https://www.adjust.com/opt-out/, selecting the device to which the revocation shall apply and specifying the identifier of your mobile device (opt-out). 5. Direct marketing

If you have given us your consent to do so, we will process your personal data to provide you with personalized information on BASF products, events, web seminars and services we consider relevant for you and to conduct customer surveys via the communication channels you have selected.

In order to determine your professional needs and interests, we combine and analyse the personal data that we have collected about you in the course of your relationship with BASF as a customer or user of BASF products and services (in particular your contract and master data, the products you have purchased, samples, demos, brochures orwhitepapers that you have requested or downloaded, webinars for which you have registered, surveys that you havecompleted, etc.).

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data for the above-mentioned purposes is your consent.

Due to the global nature of BASF’s marketing teams, BASF will share your personal data with the relevant BASF entities and therefore transmit your personal data to the following BASF companies being the regional MarketingHeadquarters:

In addition, BASF will share your personal data between those BASF companies which are responsible for you as a(prospective) business partner. Both of the aforementioned transfers serve the purpose of administration of customer data across the BASF Group and preparation of global marketing campaigns and sales-related activities.

The legal basis for this data sharing is our legitimate interest in maintaining your personal data in our company group.

We will share your personal data with other affiliated companies of the BASF Group if they provide IT services fo rus or if this is necessary for operational reasons, such as follow ups from sales managers or developing personalized marketing materials and content. Furthermore, we will pass on your personal data to the technical IT serviceproviders we use from whom we obtain services. Our IT service providers are carefully selected and regularly checked by us. They process personal data only on our behalf and strictly in accordance with our instructions on the basis of corresponding contracts for order processing.

We store your personal data collected within the scope of your consent for the above-mentioned purposes until your consent is revoked.

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by notifying us of your revocation under our consent preference center Link to OneTrust. Each marketing mail we will send to you based on this consent, will contain a separate link to revoke your consent.

You are at liberty to grant or withhold consent. This has no effect on your visit of this website and platform.

If you revoke your consent, we will no longer use your personal data for marketing purposes unless we have another legal basis for this. The revocation of your consent does not affect the legality of the data processing that has taken place up to that point.

II. Transferring data for processing on our behalf

In order to process your data, we partly use specialised service providers. Our service providers are carefully selected by us and regularly controlled. They process personal data only on our behalf and strictly in accordance with our instructions that are based on corresponding agreements on job processing.

Your data are also partly processed in countries outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), where, in general, a lower level of data protection than in Europe may prevail. In these cases, we ensure (e.g. through contractual agreements with our contracting parties) that an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed for your data, or we shall ask for your express consent.
